General Coaching Information & Meetings Schedule

Being a manager or coach requires time, patience, and basic knowledge of the game of baseball.  You will work with your Team Mom to communicate with the parents/guardians of your players to inform them of any schedule changes, rainouts, and Little League events and activities.

Coconut Creek fielded approximately 40 teams last season that's about 120 coaching positions. The League needs knowledgeable and responsible individuals to pass their love of game on to the next generation of ballplayers.  Don't worry if you were a Little Leaguer the last time you picked up a ball. The league provides prospective coaches with plenty of help through coaching clinics, and support from a divisional representative on the Board of Directors. Click on the some of the Coaching Skills& Drills link in the top menu bare for information and help.

As a manager or coach, you have more interaction with young people than anyone else in Little League.  Therefore, it is important that you understand the goals and virtues of the Little League program in order to effectively communicate them to your players.  To gain a better understanding of what those goals and virtues are you will be required to attend meetings, instructional sessions, and seminars. Background checks are required for all League volunteers..  The costs of these programs will be paid by the League.

To remind everyone of the ideals of Little League Baseball, Coconut Creek Little League requests that the Little League Pledge be recited by all players participating in a game in which scores are kept.

Coach Pitch and T-ball teams are encouraged to recite the Pledge before their games as well.
