Pitch, Hit & Run banner

Aquafina's Major League Baseball Pitch Hit and Run Competition provides youngsters across the country the opportunity to participate in the official baseball skills competition of Major League Baseball.  Pitch, Hit & Run is intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the fun element of baseball. There is no registration fee, participation is free.
Boys and girls compete in four different age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14
Boy and girl winners in each age group will be awarded separately.

A birth certificate is required to participate.
Age Determination Date is July 31

The City of Coconut Creek will host a Pitch, Hit & Run
Local Competition on the following date:

Saturday, April 30, 2011
9:00 - 11:00 AM
@ Sabal Pines Park, Field #3

Pitch, Hit & Run is designed to test three of the most fundamental aspects of baseball: batting, throwing and base-running. All of the skills are individually scored and each participant will accumulate a total score based on his or her combined performance.

PHR Events


Four levels of competition - Local, Sectional,
Team Championship and National Finals
  • Local: Hosted one day in March, April or early May
  • Sectional: All Local winners advance to a Sectional in their area
  • Team Championship: The top scorers are eligible to compete in a Major League Stadium in June
  • National Finals: The top scores nationwide earn an all-expense paid trip to the MLB All-Star Game to compete in the National Finals competition
