   Volunteer Of the Year

Congratulations Gerry Huntenburg, 2007 Volunteer of the Year
Coconut Creek Little League is happy to announce Gerry Huntenberg as it's 2007 Volunteer of the Year winner.  Gerry, a Coral Springs resident, has never had a child who played in our league, yet year after year he is the one of our top umpires.   In 2007 Gerry volunteered to umpire more games than any other umpire in our league, umpiring at least two games week throughout the season.  Gerry was also honored by Little League International, being selected to represent Florida and District #10 as an umpire at the 2007 Little League World Series for girls softball, in Portland, Oregon.  Congratulations Gerry!

Congratulations John Kuhn, 2006 Volunteer of the Year
The League is pleased to announce John Kuhn as it's winner for The Tom Greco Award for Most Dedicated Volunteer of 2006.   John's was a great ambassador for the League as It’s T-ball Coaching Coordinator, making sure our new coaches understood our league concept and got the training and information they needed to have a successful season.

John also spent countless hours as a volunteer umpire, and was always available for any special projects the league needed done.  John though is probably most proud of his Minor 9 Mets team whom he guided to the Division Championship.  Coconut Creek Little League wishes to thank John for the countless hours and energy he brought to the league this year.  He truly made a difference and the league is happy to honor him as the 2006 Volunteer of the Year.

The Board of Directors of the league decided to honor the memory of Tom Greco by giving the award out in his name for 2006.  This year the award will be called The Tom Greco Award for Most Dedicated Volunteer of 2006.  We honor Tom and the countless hours and immense energy he put into the league by naming the award for him this year.
